Who are we?

Broadacre is based in Telford and we are able to conduct a wide range of services in Staffordshire, Shropshire and parts of Worcestershire. We have over 25 years experience in forestry and arboriculture (tree surgery) and we have a long standing contract with the National Trust. We offer a wide range of services for both domestic and commercial customers.

Our love for trees and the natural environment drives us to provide dedicated and professional tree surgery and woodland management services.

What do we do?

Broadacre are involved in all aspects of a trees life. We can help you select and plant trees, we can prune trees and we can safely remove trees from any location, even from the tightest spaces. Our work includes regular woodland management work with the National Trust where we provide thinning, maintenance and forestry operations over a large estate near Shrewsbury and on Wenlock edge. We are able to extract timber from woodlands and can process timber in a variety of ways to suit the needs of the terrain and the client.

We offer our services to both domestic & business customers and work on any number trees, regardless of size.

How do we do it?

The first step is for us to come and have a look at the tree when we can discuss the treatment options. We take into account the tree’s position, location and the season before we conduct any work.

We strive to provide the best treatment for your tree. We will recommend the treatment  to provide the most benefit to the tree and will not recommend a treatment just to generate more money.

Quotes are provided free of charge. If you accept our quote we conduct checks to ensure their are no legal constraints such as TPOs or conservation areas which would prohibit work. These checks are conducted free of charge to our customers. If you plan to remove a large amount of timber we can also help you obtain a felling licence.

We care for trees and the environment and we try to minimise our impact where possible. We use biodegradable chain oil in our saws to minimise damage to the environment.

Once the work is completed we will put all the smaller branches thought our chipper and remove the woodchip from site along with any larger limbs. If you prefer to keep any part of the tree, for example – to use as firewood, this can also be arranged.

We are fully insured and backed by £5 million public liability insurance and employers liability insurance. We can provide copies on request.
